“Hello, I’m Marcus and I’m here to give a talk. Is my gin & tonic ready?!” (Last time I gave a talk here, they e-mailed to say did I need anything, I jokingly said a G&T – and they supplied one!)
Blimey. Josh, the event organiser, went to Queen Mary University like me (mind you, the dinosaurs ruled the Earth when I was there)

With Julia, one of my oldest friends, who I first met when I took her to the medical centre at Queen Mary College when she went temporarily blind. For weeks after, I wondered why she never mentioned it. Being blind, she didn’t know my face!
Signing copies of A CRACK IN EVERYTHING for the crowds – well, a modest crowd!
David brings me lots more books to sign – something every author LOVES to do.
